Baby deedee’s pajamas and bear bunting allow you to change your baby’s diaper without undressing your baby or toddler. Read that again. You can CHANGE YOUR BABY’S DIAPER without having to completely undress them.

Baby deedee’s clothing has a unique design with a between-the-leg zipper allowing you to unzip the pajamas or bear bunting to change baby’s diaper while their top half stays warm and snug.

The pictures below show you the steps to changing baby’s diaper while wearing these warm baby clothes. Unzip the between-the-legs zipper. Roll the pajamas out of the way, change the diaper, and then zip back up. SO easy!

Warm Baby Clothes with Easy Diaper Changes:

Baby deedee recommends rolling the material up and out of the way to avoid messes when changing diapers. However, if it’s only a pee diaper, I have changed my baby’s diaper with his legs still inside the clothing.

I have had enough room to take the diaper off, wipe, and put another diaper back on mess-free without having to roll the material up.

Once I discovered that I could change my baby’s diaper while he was basically still inside his clothing, these have been our go-to outfits for when we go outdoors.

When it’s cold outside, I hated having to expose my baby’s bottom half to the cold when he needed a new diaper. My only other alternative was packing everything back up, taking both my kids to the car/indoors, changing the diaper, and then returning back outside.

But NOT ANYMORE. Baby deedee’s warm baby clothes allow my little guy to stay warm when it’s cold WHILE getting a clean diaper!

One of the reasons I love these pajamas is because it is footless. Baby breathing and heart monitors that wrap around baby’s foot have become so popular. If your baby goes to sleep before you place the monitor on, it can be a hassle to get your baby undressed without waking them up.

With these baby pjs, I have put my son down in his crib while he’s already asleep and put his monitor around his foot without waking him up! Then, I can add socks if needed. Plus, you can’t beat having a between-the-legs zipper for easy diaper changes.

Baby deedee’s Pajamas Sizing Guide

for Baby and Toddlers:

These warm baby clothes are meant to be tight-fitting in order to avoid using potentially harmful flame retardants.

Baby deedee has new and improved sizing for their pajamas and most customers are very satisfied with the fit of their baby pajamas. I needed to size up because I have a baby with adorably chunky thighs. Sizing up caused the pajamas to be a little long on his feet but he is still able to wear them comfortably.

Baby deedee’s Warm Baby Clothes: Bear Bunting

Bear Bunting is adorable outerwear that keeps your baby and toddler warm while still allowing them to move around. They have the cutest little bear ears on the hood that transform your baby into the cuddliest teddy bear. Your baby’s hands and feet can be exposed or you can use the rollover mitten and bootie cuffs to keep everything covered.I love dressing our baby in the bear bunting when he sits in the stroller and watches his big brother’s soccer games on chilly Saturday mornings. Blankets can be such a hassle because he would squirm and cover his face or drop the blanket on the ground. But the bear bunting is a great solution to keep my baby warm without those hassles.

And you can’t beat the between-the-legs zipper feature to allow easy diaper changes even when baby is all bundled up! It is so nice that baby deedee takes into consideration how difficult it is to change diapers when babies are wearing many warm layers!

FAQ’s about Warm Baby Clothes

“What Temperature is Too Cold for a Baby?”

Babies are allowed to go outside in the winter but there are several things you need to consider. Babies aren’t able to regulate their body temperature. They lack body fat and lose heat much quicker than adults.

If you are taking your baby out in cold weather, the general rule of thumb is to put one more additional layer on them than you would yourself.

You should not take your baby outside if it is below freezing unless it is quickly back and forth to the car. For more information on what temperature is too cold for a baby or how to dress your baby in cold weather, visit this article from the American Academy of Pediatrics

“How Should I Dress My Baby When it’s Hot?” or

“How Should I Dress my Newborn When it’s Hot”

The American Academy of Pediatrics says you can reduce your baby’s clothing to a single layer if the temperature is above 75 degrees Fahrenheit. The rule of thumb is to dress your baby in one more layer than you are to be comfortable.

If you want to use a sleepsac on your baby while they sleep, check out the TOG of the sleepsac to find a material that will be best for your baby’s room temperature. There are lightweight sleepsacs that are great for warmer weather.

“How Warm Should Baby Dress at Night?”

It is recommended that baby’s room temperature should be between 68 and 72 degrees Fahrenheit (20 to 22.2 degrees Celcius). But even with the temperature within these guidelines, you still need to dress your baby similarly to you.

If you are comfortable wearing warm pajamas, dress your baby in warm baby clothes too. Or, if you are comfortable wearing a t-shirt and covering up with a blanket, dress your baby in a onesie and then zip them up in a sleepsac with an appropriate TOG. If you are comfortable with what you are wearing and you dress your baby similarly, your baby will most likely be comfortable too.

Pay attention to your baby to decide if you need to adjust their clothing. Feel their chest, back, and stomach. Do they feel too warm? Take off a layer. Do they feel cold? Add a layer or a sleepsac!

“What Clothes Do You Need for a Winter Baby?”

Think about the clothes you, the parent, need for yourself during the winter and those are the layers your baby will need in their wardrobe as well. Will you need thick and warm clothing when you go outdoors? So will baby. Check out the warm baby clothes from baby deedee that I listed above!

“How Can I Keep My Baby Warm at Night?”

You want your baby’s room temperature to be between 68 and 72 degrees Fahrenheit. You also want to dress your baby in clothes that are comfortable for that environment.

Dress your baby similarly to how you, the parent, are dressed in the same environment. You may add one additional layer of clothing to your baby if needed. Sleep sacs are a safe alternative to loose blankets. DO NOT use loose blankets on your baby.

The American Academy of Pediatrics gives guidelines on how to dress your baby at night in order to reduce the risk of overheating, which has been linked to SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome). Some of those guidelines are listed below or can be found here

-your baby should be dressed appropriately, no greater than 1 more layer than the adult is comfortably wearing in the same environment

-evaluate your baby for signs of overheating: sweating or your baby’s chest being hot to the touch

-Avoid over bundling and you should never cover your baby’s face with any material in an attempt to keep them warm

“Do Babies Need Pajamas?”

It depends on the baby! Your baby might be most comfortable wearing a onesie and sleepsac at night. Some babies might prefer warm and cozy pajamas. Babies spend such a long time sleeping that you want them to be comfortable!
